Renaissance garb is typically made to exact measurements. Bodices are tight fitting
and unless you wear a corset underneath, generally made smaller than one's actual
measurements to give that period correct conical shape
When chosing a size, you should never rely on your bra or pant size. There are too
many variences in commercial clothing these days to give you an accurate idea of
what dimensions you need to request.
Accuracy is paramount!! When taking your measurements, it is ALWAYS a good idea to
get help! Whether it be a friend or relative, or at a professional bridal boutique. It is
possible (and very likely) that your measureing tape will slip a bit down your back
while you're measuring your bust.
If you plan to wear underpinnings such as a corset, farthingale (hoop skirt), or
crinoline under your garb, WE NEED TO KNOW! If you plan to wear a corset under
your bodice, wear the corset while taking your measurement and let us know that it is
a "Corseted Measurement". If you do NOT plan to wear a corset under your bodice, it
will be made smaller than your actual measurement to give you the period correct lift
and support.
Take care when deciding your skirt length. If you ALWAYS wear a hoop or crinoline,
wear it for the measurement. Take into account what shoes you'll be wearing, and the
terrain on which you'll be walking. It is no fun to trip over too long skirts all day at
your event!
Chemises are typically made One SIze Fits Most. If, based on your measurements, you
do not fall into that category, your chemise will be custom made to fit you. We do
not discriminate based on size. We welcome and will accomodate women of every
shape and size.

Liability: It is unlikely but possible that boning could pop free after many uses and
jab you in the ribs. You could walk on uneven terrain at an event and trip over your
skirts. You could be mauled by a large group of rogues that find you so stunningly
beautiful in your garb, that you get hurt when they all try to kiss your hand and
profess their undying love for you at the same time! We are not responsible for any
injury obtained when wearing our garb.
